It is said time after time that you must always wear your helmet when out on your bike. Whether it protects you from a fall after a non-observant car driver, a patch of black-ice, a sudden lapse of concentration or a flying antelope, it might save your life. It is so important.
Last Monday I attempted to cycle through the very centre of ‘business London’ at peak time – 6pm. It was chaos to say the least! (What was I really expecting?!). It was one frightening place to be, and indeed I witnessed three people being knocked off their bikes. Thankfully all three of them had their helmets on – two of them relying on them to save their heads from hitting the floor.
