We are extremely pleased to announce the arrival of a new sponsor – Frontline Display International (www.frontlinedisplay.com). Phil Griffiths of Frontline has agreed to fund the motorhome  as part of the support crew; something which we had been desperately trying to locate. This will enable the support crew to travel in relative luxury, and prevent them from converting an old transit van into a makeshift sleeping area. I for one am very happy, and in no way envious, that they will be comfortable, warm and with food easily available!! My bike is just as good…

This new sponsor support couldn’t have come at a more needed time. Having entered the last three weeks before the ride gets underway, we have been somewhat chasing our to-do lists and trying to really dot the i’s and cross the t’s. We have held many late night and early morning meetings to follow up on all contingencies. That is another reason why our main financial backers, the Links Risk Advisory, are so vital with the planning and preparation. Andy Shaw, the Managing Director of Links Risk has heavily scrutinised all the plans to ensure that the entire support team have considered all feasible options and scenarios out on the road. Ultimately there are a great deal of unforseeable events which could take place, but the crew are versatile enough to take these in their stride and ensure the smooth running of this challenge (which is now getting extremely close!).

Please rememer the charity, C.R.Y when discussing this challenge with people: ‘Cardiac Risk in the Young’, and a tremendous thank you to all those who have pledged their support already. Information about the charity and the work which they are undertaking can be found by clicking on the little red chap in the bottom right corner.
