Land’s End to John O’Groats and back … in 6 days!

09:00 Saturday 21st August 2010

You CAN be awesome!

  • Sitting down as usualAt least 297 miles a day
  • There will be pain, there will be blood, there will be tears
  • This is an ultra endurance test

Ben Rockett has set himself a monster of a challenge and ten people are currently preparing and planning the attempt.  Ultimately though, it will be the mental and physical endurance of Ben himself that will determine the success or failure of this record attempt.  It is certain that few people would consider cycling the 1781 miles in just 6 days and there will definitely be a number of difficulties to overcome but that’s what makes a challenge worthwhile.

Ben is determined to get his message across; the message is very simple. With enough effort and determination, we are all capable of achieving exceptional feats. Sometimes people just need a little extra encouragement.

Having cycled across North America and practically commuted thousands of miles by bicycle, Ben has decided that cycling long distances is something he can do reasonably well.  In order to see just how well, he has set himself the challenge of breaking the record for cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats and back, aiming at a target of 6 days!
